Takshashila Gurukul Public School is run by D.V. Patil Pratishthan in Shikrapur, Taluka Shirur, Pune. Its name points to Takshashila, one of the oldest seats of learning in India, and the school carries the same belief: learning should build character and give something back to society.
We are a beacon of learning and growth for families across Shikrapur and the MIDC belt. Our classrooms are digital, our labs are hands-on and our campus is secure. We also take children out to plant trees, clean the village, lead rallies and see India's history for themselves.
Each child gets attention matched to their needs: remedial help for anyone falling behind, extra coaching for those aiming higher, and counselling for everyone. The school belongs to its community and works for it.

These activities happen every year, and students lead them as much as teachers.
Principal Sonali N. Patil (M.A., B.Ed., DSM) leads the school. She heads a team of 27 teachers and 10 support staff.
Together, we help students learn, lead and give back.

D.V. Patil Pratishthan runs the school as a social commitment to Shikrapur and the families who have moved here for work in nearby industry. The trust is now planning a new campus. It will take the school from KG to Class 12 and add higher education: MBA, then MCA, BBA, B.Com and BCA.
